Stampack Solid
Stampack uses solid simulation to reproduce the forming process with maximum accuracy. Forming processes with thick sheets, small radii or reduction of material thickness can only be validated reliably with solid simulation, as considerable stresses and strains occur in the thickness direction.
In the 3D solid simulation, the simulation of the die contact corresponds to the physical contact on the press. So the solid simulation can accurately depict markings and slight damage to the part surface, along with the orange peel in areas of high stress. Especially with visible parts, it is essential that these defects are detected at an early stage.
