Imported Part to Simulated Strip Layout:
LogoPress/Stampack Demonstration

(49:57) This webinar shows the collaboration between LogoPress die design software and Stampack forming simulation software. Starting with an imported part, we progressively flatten the formed geometry and create the strip layout, including cutting and forming punches.The strip layout is then simulated to verify formability, form tooling geometry is adjusted by Stampack to compensate for springback, and the blank outline is developed automatically. (1:04:21) MetalForming magazine and Accurate Die Design Software present—from start to finish—a live and thorough demonstration of the LogoPress DieDesign software package. Starting with only a complex, “dumb” imported part, a nearly complete strip layout is created including cutting punches and form punches. Designing around this strip layout, a substantial portion of the die assembly is created, 2D detail drawing functionality is demonstrated, and the computer-generated Bill of Materials (BOM) for the die is inserted into a 2D drawing. Unbend Dirty Parts, Flatten Complex Double-Curved Parts

LogoPress Flatten provides the user with two powerful tools for flattening parts. Unbending by Steps can unbend dirty imported parts (without any special preparation), calculating the correct K-factor for the bend. Finite Element Analysis of complex formed parts can be performed using the Blank command, generating a flat blank, as well as thinning, stress and strain data.

Real Time Die Designs

Various die designs are recorded in real time, including a very complete progressive die design done in just over 5 hours, including all 2D drawings, 2 engineering changes and interference detection. Also included are a Fineblank die, a Compound die, a Two station hand transfer die and a Lamination die design that produces a Stator and a Rotor.

DIE DEBUGGER™

LogoPress DIE DEBUGGER, included in both DieDesign and DieDesign PREMIUM, is a user friendly motion simulation tool (virtual tryout press) that uses dynamic interference detection to help die designers catch mistakes before the design gets to the shop floor. It is also an important tool for learning die design, as well as for making design reviews much more efficient.

LogoPress Design Manager (123GO) is for those companies that need to work with a LogoPress die design in SOLIDWORKS, but don’t have a LogoPress product installed on their computer. It is a FREE SOLIDWORKS Certified Gold add-in that will cause SOLIDWORKS to automatically recognize and properly rebuild LogoPress-specific features, while also providing significant bonus functionality as well.
